Salary: £180-£250 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time | Term Time Only | Long Term to Permanent

We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking ICT Teacher & Careers Advisor to join a specialist alternative provision in Nottingham (NG5). Supporting young people aged 13-16 (KS3 and KS4) who face barriers in mainstream education, this school offers a dynamic and rewarding environment for a dedicated ICT Teacher & Careers Advisor to thrive.
In this dual role, the successful ICT Teacher & Careers Advisor will combine digital education with tailored career support, helping students gain the technical skills they need alongside the knowledge and guidance required to take the next step in life. You will play a key part in helping learners build confidence, explore opportunities, and plan for their futures.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver creative, engaging ICT lessons to small groups of KS3 and KS4 students, who are unable to access mainstream education
Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to suit the needs of individual learners
Collaborate with pastoral staff and behaviour mentors to support student development
Provide one-to-one and group careers guidance, including CV writing, post-16 options, and interview prep
Collaborate with staff, external partners, and employers to develop meaningful careers pathways for studentsIdeal Candidate:
Experience working as an ICT Teacher & Careers Advisor, or in either of the two roles
Practical experience teaching ICT and/or delivering careers advice in a school or alternative provision
A passion for helping young people overcome barriers and realise their potential
A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, or Level 3 Award in Education & Training) is desirableWhy Apply?
