Applications Engineer – CNC Machine Tools

Location: Coventry (with UK & European travel)

Salary: £45–57k + Company Car + Pension + Healthcare

A leading CNC machine tool and automation solutions provider is expanding and seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support turnkey projects across the UK and Europe.

The Role

A hands-on, customer-facing role focused on installing and optimising advanced CNC machining systems. You’ll manage the full turnkey process—from programming and machining strategy to on-site commissioning and training.

Responsibilities

Develop machining strategies and CNC programs (Fanuc / Okuma preferred)

Conduct prove-outs and First Article Inspections

Meet all project acceptance criteria

Deliver operator training on programming and machine use

Support integration of CAM software and simulation tools

Travel as required across the UK and Europe

About You

4+ years in machine tools or production engineering

CNC programming and/or setting background

Strong with Fanuc/Okuma controls; CAM experience preferred

Confident communicator, self-motivated, and well-organised
