The Company

Our client is a well-established company in the process sector. Due to sustained growth, they are now recruiting for a Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Technician.

The Role

* You will be responsible for supervising and performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment.

* This role ensures that plant electrical and instrumentation systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

* You will also mentors Technicians and coordinate daily activities to support production and maintenance goals.

* Oversee and support a team of Technicians in executing electrical and instrumentation work safely and effectively across all plant systems.

* Perform assembly, installation, maintenance, testing and disassembly of electrical/control equipment including motors, drives, switchgear, sensors, transmitters and control valves, panels.

* Supervise and carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure continuous system reliability and performance.

* Diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults and identify root causes.

* Safely remove, replace or repair faulty components.

The Person

* You will ideally be time served and have experience in a similar role.

* An individual would be expected to have core trade qualifications as a minimum requirement:

* Ideally hold a valid CompEx Inspection certificate and Electricity at Work Regulations.

* Will have experience with Permit to Work system.

* Relay protection training.

* LV/HV switching and isolating procedures training.

* HV Authorisation.
