SEN Teaching Assistant – Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire
Salary: £20,000 per annum
Start Date: Within 1–4 weeks (depending on your availability)
Contract: Permanent, Monday to Friday

The Opportunity
We Staff Education are proud to be working with a well-established and inclusive SEN school in Hertford. This school provides specialist education for pupils aged 4–19 years with Autism (ASC), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), and Social, Emotional and Communication Needs (SEMH).
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of a supportive and collaborative team, helping students develop confidence, independence, and key life skills. Each day will bring new challenges and rewarding moments as you work closely with teachers and therapists to ensure every student reaches their potential.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with additional needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering creative, engaging, and inclusive lessons.
• Encourage and promote confidence, communication, and independence.
• Maintain a calm and positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to meet individual learning goals.
• Contribute to a caring school culture where every success is celebrated.
About You
• Compassionate, patient, and motivated by helping others.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and adaptable to changing situations.
• Previous SEN or classroom experience is an advantage but not essential — full training is provided.
• Must have full Right to Work in the UK.
